Pioneers and renewal
Domaine Lafond Roc-Epine
- Roc-Epine Lirac, rested before release: The red Lirac Roc-Epine combines grenache and syrah. After maturation in stainless steel, it spends at least six months in bottle before sale, so bottling is followed by a further period of rest at the estate.
- A racing name, a family bottling project: Jean-Pierre Lafond named the estate after the champion racehorse Roquépine, adapting the name to Roc-Epine. With his son Pascal he chose to sell exclusively in bottle; François and Jean-Baptiste have since joined the family business.
