Essential references
Domaine Bertrand-Bergé
- A label for an ancestor: Jérôme Bertrand gave the name ‘Jean Sirven’ to a Fitou cuvée. His great-great-grandfather had already developed direct sales in the nineteenth century: the label pays tribute to this ancestor who marketed the estate’s wines himself.
- Fitou and sweet wines: In Paziols, the family also makes an amber Rivesaltes from Maccabéo and a Muscat de Rivesaltes. These sweet wines have their own appellations; they are not sweet versions of red Fitou.
